We are recruiting a Finance Manager based in Preston, Lancashire to join our growing team. The role will be managing the monthly management accounts, annual audits and division accounting.

This position will be based in Preston at our initially in Walton Summit but moving to Ashton area of Preston in the forthcoming months.

The ideal candidate must be keen to succeed with drive and ambition for job completion, willing to take ownership of tasks and wanting to develop as a person within a fast-paced business. You will lead the way in developing the management accounting and financial reporting for the business and assist in the development of others.

Salary: £43,000 - £45,000
About the role:
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller and help run the day-to-day activities of the finance department
  • Ensure inter-department recharges are charged across the business
  • Work with Finance team in providing relevant information for production of timely and accurate consolidated management accounts to specified and agreed deadline
  • Developing monthly overhead packs and partnering the central department managers to challenge
  • Effective daily management of the finance function
  • Manage intercompany transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure the timely return of HMRC and other legal forms
  • Improve financial systems and procedures to maintain and implement the best financial controls
  • Work with budget holders’ reduction of overheads through intelligent ways of working
  • Finance projects and added value work
  • Ensure team development and motivation
