Technical IT Project Manager

We are looking to recruit a proactive, personable experienced Technical Project Manager reporting to the head of IT.

Based at the Head Office in Preston but you will be required to visit and carry out work at other locations including Derby.

The Technical IT Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Infrastructure Manager on IT Projects and developments within the business. Technical knowledge and previous experience of IT Infrastructure is essential as well as a proven track record of delivering IT Projects.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
About you:
  • A good understanding of cloud computing, cyber security and managing the end-to-end delivery of projects
  • Strong communication skills to effectively deal with stakeholders at all levels
  • A positive can-do attitude is essential and flexibility to help out in all areas
  • A good understanding of cloud computing ideally with experience of migrating from on-prem to cloud
  • Good communication and effective analytical skills to understand requirements
  • Positive attitude
  • Self starter with the ability to learn new skills when required
Knowledge:
  • A technical understand to assist with investigating and developing technical solutions to IT Projects
  • An understanding of PowerBI and data repositories
  • An understanding of APIs and transferring data between systems
  • An understanding of RPA
  • Technical IT Support experience, ideally gained in an MSP environment
  • Prince2 or Agile Project Methodologies
About the role:
  • Delivering IT Projects agreed with the Infrastructure Manager and the IT Director
  • Working closely with all stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure projects are delivered to meet these
  • Managing supplier relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of outsourced packages of work
  • Assisting the Infrastructure Manager on migration projects and supporting the IT team when required
